LeleKai International Fest — Manifesto
We do not choose between the human and the machine. We choose authorship.
LeleKai is a space where creativity stays human while the instrument is artificial intelligence. We are not racing the machine. We are looking for the new language a person speaks with AI in their hands.
20AI is the festival’s own mark for this era, and no one else’s calendar. “20” stands for the century we live in, the twenty-first. “AI” stands for its co-author.
2012 gave us AlexNet, the breakthrough that changed what computers could see. Artificial intelligence reached culture in the 2020s. We start the festival clock there.
France is investing to become the centre of European AI. Cannes already carries the cultural weight. LeleKai starts where those two meet, and where art and technology learn one language.
LeleKai is not confined to cinema. Most AI festivals judge a single format. We opened eleven Creative Worlds, from film and animation to fashion, music, gaming, science and education. Any author, any discipline, any level of technical skill.
We believe the size of the dataset decides nothing and the depth of the intent decides everything. Speed of generation counts for less than courage in the statement. LeleKai gathers the people who build this on purpose, and who answer for it.
For partners and patrons:
“Don’t invest in the technology. Invest in the authorship of tomorrow.”
